Introduction
Akshat Rathee is a serial-entrepreneur and the Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, a
venture by the NODWIN Group of Companies. NODWIN Gaming is the premier and most
recognized esports company in India. It has played a pivotal role in developing the Indian esports
scene in the country by playing an instrumental role in popularizing competitive gaming through
its exclusive license partnerships with ESL and DreamHack. NODWIN Gaming works actively
to run other marquee esports IPs such as the Mountain Dew Arena, The CII India Gaming Show
among others. NODWIN Gaming additionally produces online content on gaming and esports
such as Esports Mania on MTV, a collection of four premium esports shows, The Cosplay Genie
Show and Live content from pop culture events in India as well as abroad.
An entrepreneur at heart, Akshat is also the Managing Director of the NODWIN Group of Companies, core holding group. Housing an assortment of ventures, the NODWIN Group began its journey in 2005 with the objective of providing clients with rarefied and resilient solutions, helping them unravel their businesses. Under Akshat’s guidance, the NODWIN Group has worked with 36 of the Top-100 companies of India in its portfolio and continues to make remarkable strides in the fields of ideation, consultancy, investment, merchandising, retail, video games, esports, media production, real estate, hospitality and much more. Some of the notable ventures under the NODWIN Group banner are the Earth-100 Biofuels, which focuses on clean energy and ensuring a better tomorrow. The NODWIN Consultants, an investment and financial advisory body focused on providing value-based consultancy services.
Before beginning his journey as an entrepreneur, Akshat worked as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young. Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. He also served as an Assistant Manager with IBM Daksh (now IBM Global Process Services). At IBM Daksh, Akshat was involved with business process outsourcing, catering to industries such as telecommunications, retail, airlines, banking, insurance, healthcare, automotive and electronics.
Understanding his responsibility towards society, Akshat has co-founded Swabhimaanya, a firm that strives to empower the underprivileged and provide essential services in the form of finance and household items. Akshat is also a prominent member of AIESEC and plays an influential role as an advisor on matters of strategy, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Akshat graduated from the Manipal Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Engineering (Computers). He also holds an MBA in International Business from Ecole des Ponts, France.
He boasts of over 18 years of experience in the fields of entrepreneurship, business consultancy and strategy.
A gamer since his childhood days, Akshat has turned his passion into a successful business endeavour. Through NODWIN Gaming, Akshat has helped identify the esports potential present in India. He continues to play an influential role in actively shaping the future of competitive gaming in the country.
