Self-regulation of online gaming will need safeguards

‘No such plan’: Govt on MP’s question to limit online gaming to 3 hours a week

Union minister of state for electronics and information technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the Indian government’s policies are aimed at ensuring an open, safe, trusted and accountable Internet for its users

The government is aware of the possible risks and challenges associated with online games but there is no plan to limit the amount of time that children can spend playing online, minister of state for electronics and information technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

India Gaming Show 2023: Packed with gaming and esports exhibitions

A lot of major gaming and esports organisations, publishers and developers are attending the event as exhibitors including the Riot Games, PlayStation, Rooter, Loco, Stan, Western Digital Black, and many more.

IGS 2023, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), returned as a physical event this year after the last event took place virtually in 2021. This is the fourth edition of India Gaming Show and there have been plenty of excitements on offer for gamers.
